Rebecca Arayan, Interim Executive Director - Prior to joining GaRRS in 2016, Rebecca worked for 16 years with various nonprofits and nongovernmental organizations including 11 years in fundraising and development. She worked over 10 years with the Atlanta-based, Peabody-winning, Day1 Radio program. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Rebecca became a Peace Corps volunteer in the former Soviet Republic of Armenia. Rebecca holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Georgia State University with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management. GaRRS' mission to improve the quality of life for every Georgian who is blind, visually-impaired or has difficulty with the printed word is dear to her heart as Rebecca's grandmother is visually impaired and some of her fondest childhood memories are of reading the Reader’s Digest together with her grandmother over a plate of warm cookies.



Jane Boynton, Program Outreach and Volunteer Manager - Prior to becoming a GaRRS employee in 2016 Jane had volunteered with Connecticut Volunteer Services for the Blind & Handicapped, Inc. from 1983 to 1988, and with GaRRS beginning in 1988. She also volunteered and held board membership with various amateur and professional theatres in Connecticut and Georgia. Jane has a BS and an MBA from The Ohio State University, and worked in various Information Technology managerial positions for General Electric and The Coca-Cola Company, in the US and Europe, before retiring in 2009. Jane’s mother developed corneal dystrophy late in life, and Jane began volunteering for organizations for the blind because her mother got so much enjoyment from the Library of Congress Library Service for the Blind.



Kevin B Kevin Burnup began his career with GaRRS as a Board Operator in 1985, eventually becoming the first Station Manager of the GaRRS Macon Studio. In 1992, Kevin accepted a full-time position with the Macon Convention and Business Bureau, although continuing his commitment to GaRRS as a volunteer reader. Since 1997, Kevin has served as a producer, a reader, and a board operator for GaRRS in Atlanta on a regular basis.




clark byron Clark Byron, Station Manager, Savannah: Clark, the Station Manager in Savannah, has years of experience in both broadcasting and in service to people with disabilities. Clark trains and coordinates volunteers, and handles all aspects of the Savannah broadcasts.





Cheryl Cabral, Assistant Volunteer Coordinator - Cheryl was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island and lived there until relocating to Georgia. In May of 2012 she began working with GaRRS as a contractor, and was hired permanently in March of 2013 as an assistant to the volunteer coordinator.











John Cook came to GaRRS in 2011 as an intern working closely with the production staff. In 2013 he joined the staff as a producer and board operator. John says “It’s a rewarding experience working with the dedicated group of volunteers and staff we have here at GaRRS.”
Phil Jones Phil Jones, Head Producer has worked in production at GaRRS since 1981. Phil produces “Radio’s Golden Years.” He also lends his voice to promotions. Phil says he firmly believes in the benefits of Radio Reading Services.






robbyn jones Robbyn Jones, Office Manager: Robbyn has accounting, office management and customer service experience, and she loves to read! She says she is thrilled to work for an organization that provides a vital communication service for people who are blind or visually impaired.





sam lake Sam Lake is a retired radio broadcaster whose first job was in Fredricksburg, Virginia in 1975. He also worked in the Chattanooga, Dalton and Atlanta markets. Originally from Chattanooga, he has lived in the Atlanta area for the past 20 years and has been a producer at GaRRS since 1999.






John Osgood John Osgood produces and hosts the IAAIS award-winning Career Corner, which airs every week on GaRRS. John has a B.A. in Journalism from Georgia State University, and over 20 years of professional radio and television experience. He draws on his extensive technical and editorial background to serve GaRRS' listeners. He produces, records, mixes and edits a wide variety of programs and promotions. John is also a freelance audio/video editor and voiceover talent. He loves trains and has voiced several presentations for a major distributor of railroading videos. John joined GaRRS in 2005.




Jasmine Seaborn Jasmine Seabron -- Jasmine Seabron is a part-time Board Operator at GaRRS. She is also a performer, singing at Braves games and for churches and community events





shekia weeks Sheila Weeks has been the Macon Studio Manager since 2010. Sheila started with GaRRS in 2003 as a Volunteer Reader. She trains Macon's volunteers, operates the "boards" and edits Macon's broadcasts.
